[Resolved] ICICI Bank — false charges and harassment from icici bank | |||||
Around 6 months back I was offered a credit card from ICICI bank. At the time of application I was told that it would be a lifetime free card without any joining or annual charges. Later I was asked to pay a joining fee of INR 500 after which I called their customer care and asked them to deactivate my card. They told me that there was nothing to worry about and they would replace my card with another card for which I wouldn't have to pay anything. Now the scene is they didn't send any replacement card and every month they kept me sending card statement which I didn't pay and it kept on accumulating. Now the total due amount is ~ INR 5700 with penalties and late fines. I have not made even a single transaction till date and I'm being asked to pay 5700 INR that too when I called customer care and asked to close my card just after one month of joining. I have started getting calls from their debt recovery team almost everyday and they speak in abusive language which is completely unprofessional. Was this information helpful? | |||||
