ICICI Bank — Fraudulent Transaction against Credit Card | |||
On 14th Aug 2021, I was Inquiring the Amazon delivery status from toll free number :[protected]. I was asked to re-verify the address on link shared by the person through SMS and pay 5 rupees using my ICICI credit card XX02. Immediately following this i received text messages in my mobile no. XXXXX 49019 sending otp for the following transactions being under process using my said credit card. 1. Payment of Rs. 50000 at “WWW GYFTER.COM” at 12.14 pm on 14.08.2021 2. Payment of Rs. 50000 at “WWW GYFTER.COM” at 12.17 pm on 14.08.2021 3. Payment of Rs. 15000 at “WWW GYFTER.COM” at 12.20 pm on 14.08.2021 4. Payment of Rs. 4000 at “WWW YES BANK IN” at 12.22 pm on 14.08.2021 Since i did not initiate any such transactions. Immediately, I contacted ICICI bank, blocked my card and lodged a complaint about these fraudulent transactions. ICICI bank took up the matter for investigation vide Service Request- SR[protected] and blocked the card also. On 16th Aug 2021, I visited the nearby ICICI branch to report the incident and made the request for interim credit against with these transaction until the investigation against this disputed transaction is completed. On 18th Aug 2021, I received the mail from ICICI customer care that the merchant has claimed the transaction of INR 119000/- on your ICICI credit card . Hence a new request SR[protected] has been created. On 26th Aug 2021, again I received the mail from ICICI customer care that the dispute on credit card XX002 for four transactions on INR 119000/- is released in favour of the Bank as transaction were 2nd level authenticated with 3D Secure PIN. The same day the interim credit is reversed against my credit card. I am in regular touch with my Relationship manager during this period. From 26th Aug 2021, I am requesting him to arrange a call to discuss the above issue, but unfortunately no one is available. I am surprised that even on single line mail generated through ICICI customer care, the request is closed, and interim credit transaction are reversed without sharing the investigation detail or call from the Bank. Since I am the customer of this bank since last 17 years having Salary, loan and credit card account. I have not seen such behaviour from bank side. Based on the above, i would request you to investigate the matter of this fraudulent transactions and give me relief so that hardship / suffering is mitigated to the extent possible.
