Hi Concerned Team,
I did some shopping for myself last month through my Amazon icici Bank credit card since the reward system is quite lucrative considering 5% discount on whatever spending from amazon as a prime member but instead they put the spending under suspicious transaction. Now in the same context around 8868 reward points are on hold for being a loyal customer of icici Bank and using their card throughout. I could have used other bank credit card that i hold but i sticked to ICICI. Maybe that was my biggest mistake to utilise the card during sale.
After scrutinising i received a sms stating the following:
"Dear Customer, the credit of reward points for ICICI Bank Card XXxxxx is on hold as transactions are being investigated. If the transactions are not for commercial use, it will be credited within 15 working days."
The above shouldn't be the case since the card has been given us for shopping purpose only and if we shop more it's good for the bank ultimately. The bank charge such high ROI in delay of payments but when it comes to releasing the reward points it's been on hold without any warning that I am overspending. I've never been late in paying my credit card dues, i always did it well before time still I have to face such inconvenience that I could never expect with such a enormous pvt sector bank.
The bank should not deny the reward points and I request the concerned team to pls acknowledge my request and process my reward points at the earliest, i would be thankful to them and will take care of the situation and usage from next time onwards.
By blocking or keep the reward points on hold, the bank will only losing a trust worthy and loyal customer.
Hope my problem gets resolved at the earliest.
