[Resolved] ICICI Bank — ICICI wrongfully and unethically charging for rewards redemption | |||||
I got an ICICI bank credit card against a FD I opened in 2011. I had last used my ICICI bank Credit card back in 2014, afterwards it expired and the ICICI bank didn't even provided a replacement. After almost one and a half in July this year ICICI bank issued me the replacement card with the same limit although the FD is far greater than last time. In the last one an a half year, I accumulated payback reward points on my ICICI debit card and saving account but not on ICICI credit card. I redeemed some of those points and was not using any ICICI credit card at that moment. After a few weeks when my replacement card arrived and I started using it, within 2 two days I got a redemption fee levied on my replaced ICICI credit card. When I contacted ICICI customer care and tried to explain this to them for over 40 minutes, all ICICI customer care representative kept repeating was this is the way things are and ICICI bank won't do anything else on this. What kind of business model is this where you levy a fee and can't even justify its purpose? Was this information helpful? | |||||
