ICICI Bank — mab charges without intimation | |
Deduction of mab charges without informing about the change I am holding nri accounts (Nre, nro & trading) with icici bank, preetvihar branch new delhi since 2007. All my 3 account have been debited by rs. 590 each month on 20/12/17 and 21/12/17 for mab charges for oct & nov 2017. I was very shocked to see deduction of minimum balance charges while total investment with/thru icici has been in lacs always. It is very disappointing to note that your bank did not even bother to inform the existing customers about this and i am not sure how long bank has been deducting these charges without my knowledge. I rarely happen to see my statements. Since your bank has not informed me about change of balance system, hence any deduction from account for the same is totally wrong and if charges deducted are not credited back to my account then i will be left with no other option but to close my accounts and to take this matter to higher authorities and banking ombudsman as this is clear violation of rule 8 (1) (K) i. E. "levying of charges without adequate prior notice to the customer" of the banking ombudsman scheme 2006. I await for the response.
