[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — My Fastag Account Deactivation and account closure

I'm Parasuram Padmanabhan. This is to bring to your attention that I sold my Car bearing Registration number DL7CF6172 on 27th Aug'2022. Same day I applied for closure of my account that was successfully submitted. However. due to oversight I forgot to remove the Fastag Sticker from my Car. Therefore, debits happened from my Fastag account and finally account became negative. I received an SMS Alert today on 30th Aug that my account is negative and my account closure request has been rejected due to negative balance.

I immediately called up the ICICI Fastag Customer representative and they advised that I should recharge my Fastag account to make it positive ( Rupees Hundred Minimum Balance) to effect closure. I logged into my Fastag account and recharged my account. Thereafter, I immediately applied for closure once again.

I once again called up the ICICI Fastag, explained the situation and requested for immediate closure lest the account doesn't again become negative. However, they said it will take minimum three (3) working days. I pleaded with them stating that it must be treated on priority since I'm applying for closure for the second time. However, ICIC Fastag Representative expressed his helplessness in the matter.
