ICICI Bank — Over charging the late payment fees | |||
[protected] I want to register a complaint against ICICI Bank. I, Puja Bhandari received a free credit card with the credit Limit of Rs. 5000. I, by mistake used the card for a purchase of Rs. 896.19. Instead of the debit card, I by mistake used the new credit card (which I indented to give back) Since I was travelling, and realised my mistake only when I received the hard copy the bill, due to which the payment got delayed by 10 days. My payment due date was 21 Jan 2015 and I made the payment of Rs. 900 on 31 Jan 2015. In my next bill, I was charged Rs. 735.62 for late payment. I have called the customer care and asked to revert the charges. But they are not reverting it and going on are putting more charges on the amount. They have increased the late payment charges to Rs. 2586.90. I again requested them to decrease the late fees, but they are not complying. I would appreciate it if you could help me with this.
