[Resolved]  ICICI Bank Pvt Ltd — Reversal of hpcl surcharge not credited, fuel surcharge waiver

I made a transaction at daya hp filling station to get my car fueled for 500 inr.
Date of incident: 3rd may-2016
Transaction id: 65353226126000000000000
Issue: fuel surcharge is waived off when fuel is purchased at hp petrol pumps, in this case waiver should be 14.31 inr. I did not get this waiver for this transaction, while another transaction on the same petrol pump is waived off which was made on 23rd may 2016.

When i called the customer care number "[protected]", the executive ms. Juhi and her manager in support mr. Mirza suggested, that it might have been swiped on a non icici bank machine.
Unfortunately i do not have the slip for that transaction to check if it was an icici bank machine or different.

But in general when i got this card, and we check with bank, everyone tells, fuel surcharge will be waived off on hp petrol pumps. This was never communicated to me that it has to be swiped only on the icici bank machine.

I feel cheated in this case, as i was not aware that i need to check the bank's name owning machine, i was made aware of that hp is a strategic partner with the bank, and every transaction at the hp filling stations will be waived off for fuel surcharges.

Executive of customer care denied any kind of reversals, and disconnected the call after about 53 minutes of talking to me.

I also requested them to waive it for this time, and for coming times i will take care for machine names as well, or when hp is a strategic partner, why my card was swiped in a non icici bank machine. This is a strategy failure from hp's end, they should be charged not the customer.

They did not do anything but continuously kept telling me that this waiver can not be done, they do not have anything in hands for this, and finally they disconnected the call.

This was an embarrassing experience as a customer, i am getting charged for an activity which some other person made a mistake on. This is not acceptable to me as a customer.

Request you to please get me this waiver for atleast this time and i will take care of not using this banks card on any other machine or rather i will avoid using their cards, as there is a lot of hidden facts attached with the use of this bank services.
