This has reference to one transaction for HP Gas booking dtd 2nd Sept 2025 which apparently failed as per screenshot attached from HPCL
Transaction Amount is Rs. 862.5. Screenshot of ICICI Bank Credit card for successful transaction is attached herewith for your reference.
We have been chasing with ICICI bank credit card customer care for the last one month to reverse the transaction, however, all our efforts are just futile and frustrating. Appreciate your intervention directing ICICI to reverse the transaction since HPCL has produced evidence regarding its failure and ICICI raised their hand stating RBIs guidelines for not allowing them to raise request of chargeback in government verified transactions.
I personally don't believe that RBI has any such guidelines to penalize consumers. Hence this email escalation appealing for you to intervene to resolve the matter ASAP.
