I had done shopping of clothes from Amazon during Diwali but unfortunately I had to return that due to its quality. On 18 November 2020 my credit card bill was generated for Rs. 9541.37 with due date 6 December 2020. But all Amazon's Refund was credited by 26 November 2020.
I was charged late payment fee of Rs. 590 on 9 December 2020. When I called customer care to enquire about this they informed me that Refund is not considered under payment. I told them that I was unware about this. I thought I had got all refund from Amazon so their is no need to do payment.
I am ICICI Customer since more than 2 years and also never ever had any late payment fees or had any reversals on my credit card. This is the first instance I had this experience still ICICI Customer Care did not help me to waive off late fee charged.
Apart from other bank's I Bank with, I am totally upset by this kind of customer support I got from ICICI Bank as customer. Because this is first time I requested for reversal of late payment fee with valid genuine reason as I was unware that Refund from Amazon is not considered as payment. I had never done single late payments since I started using credit card still ICICI Bank is not ready to reverse my late payment fee seeing my past records of payments and once as a courtesy Was this information helpful? |
