With respect to subject line a fraud transaction was performed on my Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card with Dispute raised under service request number: SR[protected] & SR[protected]. I am holding this icici bank credit card since 2020 & have been using and transacting often and holding good relationship clearing all dues on time. This incident happened with me on 27th March 2023 when a fraudster called me representing himself as an ICICI Bank representative by collecting my credit card credentials through an icici bank mobile application by sharing a link on 25th March 2023. The credentials were shared by me on the basis that the Mobile Application resembled completed of ICICI Bank & the person who called me represented himself as an ICICI Bank representative. I have also raised a complaint on National Cyber Crime Portal for the same on 28th March 2023 which they have further forwarded to local police station. Being a common man the amount that has been transacted is too high for me to bear and co-ordinating with multiple govt. organisations has been too much difficult for me to go through this phase. I expect support from ICICI Bank in this regards. Since, ICICI Bank is a big organisation with scale business and insurance backup it is possible for them to support me this situation. As the Mobile Application through which i provided my credit card credentials resembled that of Bank it was difficult for me to distinguish it with any fraud application. Also, i interacted with the fraudster because i have DND activated on my number so i thought because of that the representative must have called me from another number. I however immediately informed ICICI Bank regarding this fraud transaction and blocked my credit card within 2 minutes from the first transaction by discussing with the dispute team, they could have holded this amount with them as i intimated them, I request ICICI Bank team to kindly reconsider my case and help by providing some compensation for the fraud transaction in monetary terms whatsover possible, Also, provide an interestfree installment option of 3-4 months to pay the balance amount if ICICI Bank provides compensation. As per RBI Circular RBI/2017-18/15 dated July 6th 2017 Page No:5, it is stated that the banks may also at their discretion decide to waive off any customer liability in such cases. I request you to extend your support in this matter. Since, the fraudulent happened through a mobile application resembling ICICI Bank's the bank can atleast provide compensation through their insurance tieup company.
