[Resolved] ICICI Bank — Report of fraud call from[protected] in the name of ICICI Bank | |||
Dear Sir, Please note that today on 20th September 2014 at 4.30pm i got a call from[protected] saying the call is from ICICI Bank and because of RBI Guidelines a new card would be issued so need to provide details of my existing card (like Card No., Name, DOB, Validity etc) and all my reward points will be transferred to the new improved card will be issued. I provided my details as they were sounding very authentic and true and than hey asked to punch my CVV No. when asked them why i need to punch that as i am not doing any transaction or something and for issuing a new card why ICICI require so much of my details. So after that they disconnected the line when repeatedly asked for the reason. I got very suspicious and called the ICICI Customer Care what was the call about and they said it must be some bogus call for doing fraud. He suggested to block this card and a new card will be issued soon. This is a very dangerous thing which is happening. I was in an hurry and would have given all the asked details and this way they can fool so many others . Please take up the matter on a serious note as i am providing you with the landline no. from which they have called me.
