I got here trying to look out for a solution for my issue, but i guess i am not the only one.
I stopped getting otp on my registered mobile (Foreign). It happened after demonetization. Now whatever option icici will or would provide, - have gone there and done that.
Now i strongly feel it is being done purposely.
Nri's can put money but outside india, can't do an operation which requires otp.
Doesn't matter you are priority customer or not.
1. If you call nri customer care - we are sorry for the inconvenience - look into the matter - will report to the tech dept. And so on.
2. Local branch - more sugar quoted promises of help.
3. Email to nri -
Quote: we regret the inconvenience caused to you. With reference to your e-mail, we would like to inform you that as per the record, there is no mobile number is updated to receive transaction alerts and the mobile number xxxxxxxxxx is updated to receive internet banking alerts. Unquote
(As if i was not aware of all this)
Fyi: have checked with the local mobile provider - all is well here.
When you want to open an account or do insurance, they will come to your house at your convenience, make you feel like vip but once you are looped, you are part of millions of requesting customers.
Is this a complaint? Don't know - at least an experience
