ICICI Bank — Unfair Debit of 824.82 Towards Debit Card Annual Charges for Unused Card

I am facing an issue with ICICI Bank regarding debit card annual charges debited from my savings account despite the card not being used for several years.

An amount of Rs. 699 + GST (total Rs. 824.82) was debited towards annual charges. I had requested cancellation of the debit card and refund of charges for the period of non-usage. However, the bank declined my request citing internal policy, without considering fairness or non-usage.

I have already escalated this matter to Head Service Quality and Principal Nodal Officer, but no satisfactory resolution has been provided.

I request your intervention to ensure refund of the amount debited (Rs. 824.82) and confirmation of debit card cancellation.

This is an unfair charge for a service that was not used.
