I went on a business trip in March 2024. during my recent stay at hotel from 17th March to 24th March, one minor accident happened resulting in damage to a mattress in my room.
The incident involved an iron being left on the bed by mistake, which caused minor damage to the mattress(Attach is the Photo) As a result, it was necessary to replace the entire mattress due to the extent of the damage incurred.
The hotel subsequently charged an amount of 1053 Euros to cover the cost of replacing the mattress. I have attached the bill for this charge for your reference.
As part of my insurance claim process, i submitted below documents:
1. Mattress Photo
2. Claim Bill & reciept
3. Email confirmation from hotel that they charged me 1053 Euros & since it was a minor damage no FIR/Police complaint was required.
No ICICI Lombard has rejected my insurance claim stating no FIR attached. As per german law it is not required to submit a police complaint for this minor damage and hotel also confirmed this(please check email attached)
still i have not any solution. The amount is close to 1 Lakh so i kindly request to check this properly and reimburse my amount.
