This is regarding the icici lifetime classic policy that i bought. I realized that it was not the right investment policy for me and went to the nearest icici prudential office to get it cancelled. While i was filling the form, a senior official from their office started shouting at me for the policy cancellation. He also called me names, questioned my educational background. When i told him that i am an iit graduate and educated enough to know why i am cancelling the policy, he said that he 'knew' that people who come from my background do such sort of things for tax evasion even though i am a responsible citizen who pays his taxes responsibly. He threatened me for no reason and shouted that he is going to raise this issue (That i am unfairly cancelling my policy) to the 'highest contacts' that he has.
Icici prudential, is this how you train your senior officials to talk to customers? What's also irregular is that while the junior officials were humble, this man was way off his limits. I would never associate with icici ever again after such behaviour. It is time for you to do some introspection and atleast drop a warning to that person. Details :
