[Resolved] Idea Cellular — extra charges in postpaid bill

My idea postpaid bill has a new item called "premium sms" which i dont know what is for and how they charged without my knowledge of subscribing something like that. When i called the customer care, they told it is a third party item and if i install that charges will be deducted. I am using a normal basic phone which dont have any smartphone features so that i can install something like that. In fact i haven't used the mobile data also. Dont now why idea is doing something fraud like this without informing the customer about this.

Idea Cellular Customer Care's response Dear Customer,

As per our recent communication, we've informed you that your bill has been generated accordingly as per your plan rental and usage. Also, as informed you've been charged for game service for the given number. Hence, we request you to send SMS as STOP to 593350 to stop the flash SMS or else you can refer the below given steps to stop the flash service manually from your handset or else you can dial 155223 to deactivate value added service from your account.

Refer to the below given steps to deactivate the Flash SMS:-
- Go to your handset SIM Toolkit
- Click on Idea Flash option
- Tap on Activation
- Click on Deactivate

As per our recent communication, we would like to inform you that, mobile operator can provide outgoing details call only. To know your outgoing call details, Send SMS to 12345 from same number. SMS format EBILL<space>MON Eg: EBILL<space> JAN. If your Email Id is not registered with us first register your Email Id Follow these steps send EMAILID<space> Email. address to 12345. For ex EMAILID<space>[email protected].
