Idea Cellular — lack of range | |||
I have two idea phones. The phone number [protected] was down for more than a week... I put in a complaint on 20th october. When anyone called in the message was the 'phone is out of coverage area' and when i made a call from that number the number would ring but i could not connect and the person at the other end (When called from another number) would say that they kept saying hello but could not hear anyone. This phone is being used by my old mother and she could need it for emergency. But when i called idea they kept calling on this number and finally sent a sms (Yes, sms is being received) that the complaint has been successfully resolved. The condition prevails and my mother is unable to make any calls or receive any calls. I shudder to think if she needs me urgently what would happen. She cannot even call any emergency numbers. This is pathetic. I believe this situation is there in our area - tridal nagar, mhb etc yervada, pune for many people. I was informed that vodafone and idea services are being merged and hence the issue... Then should they not have informed customers instead of getting them upset, harassed and confused? This is the worst case of customer service in the world. But, how about putting the service in order? They have said i can appeal by selecting 'appeal' on the ivr but that particular option is not there at all... Now that is truly caring for the customer. I think trai should take note and perhaps examine the idea-vodafone service and how they treat customers. I was told that airtel and jio services are far better. When i was asked to select manually the service provider on the phone i noticed that neither vodafone nor idea choice was available. Also, on my other phone when the same problem occurred and i went on to select the service provider manually i noticed that by default the choice was at idea 2g and not 4g while i am being charged by 4g.
