I am sharing my unresolved service experience with IFB to inform other consumers.
Issue: Light rust developed inside the cavity of an approximately 3.5-year-old IFB convection microwave that has only been used for reheating food.
Service Response:
• The IFB representative clearly stated that internal cavity rust will not be cleaned or repaired.
• I was told that nothing can be done for this issue.
• I was also informed that a paid service visit would be a waste of money since no corrective action would be taken.
Concern:
Despite stating that no solution exists, service charges were still mentioned without defining any service outcome. Repeated follow-ups resulted in pressure to close the request and generic responses claiming “coordination done, †without any written clarification or technical inspection.
No written confirmation has been provided on:
1. Whether the appliance is safe to use
2. IFB’s official policy regarding internal cavity rust
3. Recommended customer action if repair is not possible
Support was handled through IFB central customer care and assigned personnel; no specific service center details were shared.
Consumers deserve clear communication, written guidance, and accountability—especially for appliances involving heat and radiation. Was this information helpful? |
