Indane — Unethical behavior of distributor M/s People Gas Service Lucknow

I am transferred from Kolkata in the month of July’14 where I was having Gas connection of Hindustan Petroleum and upon transfer to Lucknow, I opted for the services of your esteemed organization being the nearest one. I had to face frequent harassment by your Distributor M/s People’s Gas Service, Indira Nagar, Faizabad Road, Lucknow against my consumer no. CX 15978685 in the name of Ashish Kumar Banerjee. A brief of the same is as under : PART – 1 OF HARASSMENT : I have been told at Kolkata while obtaining transfer of the connection that I only required to approach the distributor from where I intend to take the services. But, I was highly surprised when I approached M/s People’s Gas Service (nearest to me residence) while they advised me to approach to the office of Hindustan Petroleum for no objection for transfer of service provider and then I should obtain approval from Indian Oil office and then only my request for transfer and issue of connection will be considered. Accordingly, I approached the office of HP and got their no objection although they advised me that it is not necessary. I then approached M/s People’s Gas Service and told them about the same and requested them to release the connection but they insisted me to get your approval. I, then, approached your office to get the approval. Although you issued the approval but you also told me that the same is not required. And only then I was issued the new SV (you can not read anything what is written over the same), Pass Book on 29.12.2014 after submitting all the required documents including KYC documents like Aadhar card etc while two cylinders filled with Gas alongwith regulator was delivered to my residence on 30.12.2014. I would like to mention that while giving delivery of the gas cylinder they charged Rs 50/- as installation charges although they did not do anything in this regard, even they did not enter my kitchen and only made the door delivery. But I regret to note that you did not take any action against the distributor for such harassment. Are you encouraging them ????????????? PART – 2 OF HARASSMENT : Few days back, in the month of Jun’15, I was trying to book the gas but I failed to book it and I have been messaged that I should contact the distributor. I also tried to book online but it also mentioned that my booking is suspended. Then I visited the distributor on 10.06.2014 and asked them the reason thereagainst. The person dealing with the matter was ill behaved and had no courtesy to talk to a person. He told me that I have not submitted the KYC documents. I reminded him that on 29.12.2014 they issued me SV and pass book and on 30.12.2014 they delivered me gas cylinders and regulator then how it is possible that I did not submit the KYC documents. I also clarified them that the KYC documents must have omitted to be entered in the system and requested him to have a relook. Then he accepted that I have submitted the same and are entered in the system and that’s why I have been issued the SV, pass book, cylinders & regulator but he continued his argument by saying that I have not submitted DBTL alongwith relevant documents I am required to submit the same if I intend to get the gas booking further. I clarified them that submission of DBTL is not at all related to Gas Booking and they can not block my gas booking for not submission of the same. It is my prerogative whether I submit the DBTL or not. I also told him that I have already submitted the same on 14.02.2015 and shown him the receipt thereagainst. Upon this, he INSTRUCTED me to submit the KYC documents and DBTL form alongwith all the relevant documents if I require their services and left from his work place without informing anything. He was not made available for a long time and I had to surrender to leave their office without any conclusion. What to do, I am dependent on them as you also, I re-submitted all the documents as they INSTRUCTED me on 11.06.2015 and requested him to check it’s veracity and that it fulfills their requirement. He confirmed me that everything is OK and they will unblock the booking the same day. But unblocking was made on the next day and I was able to book the gas. PART – 3 OF HARASSMENT : On 17.06.2015 one person from M/s People’s Gas Service (name not disclosed) came to my residence and gave me documents and advised me to submit DBTL form alongwith all relevant documents. SURPPRISE - SURPPRISE - SURPPRISE - SURPPRISE - SURPPRISE – SURPPRISE. CONCLUSION : Considering the above, should I conclude that you alongwith the distributors are equally involved in the SCAM to deprive the consumers from being getting subsidy with unnecessary harassment ?????? otherwise the distributors will not get courage to harass the consumers like this. You must have full sympathy with them. YOUR ACTION IN THE MATTER IS SOLICITED WITH POSITIVE APPROACH WITHIN A REASONABLE PERIOD.
