We got the connection done in the month of October. For the first few months, we received the bill ranging from[protected]. In the month of Feb, we received a bill of Rs. 19000 (which is way too high in comparison to our consumption). We filed multiple complaints, someone came to check and told us that was a leakage and fixed it. From that month, we started receiving bills in normal amounts (ranging from[protected] again but the Rs. 19000 wasn’t settled even though the company knew there was a leakage. I called them multiple times and asked them to send the revised bill but they refused to do so and told us that the leakage didn’t cause the leakage (which was not true). It’s been 6 months and our bill is now 26000. We’ve gotten the connection disconnected. IGL has now sent us a legal notice demanding us to pay the bill but since our bill was way higher than our consumption, we are not ready to pay the bill. We are good, middle class people who pay all bills on time and this has never happened to us before. We are ready to pay[protected]as per our consumption) but cannot pay the whole amount.
