This is regarding the IGL Gas Pipeline connection (BP number: [protected]). Firstly we were practically forced into applying for a connection on 30th of January, 2017. We were told there is some special scheme if we apply by Jan end. The person from IGL came at least thrice in 1 day, in order to collect the payment. Nothing happened till Feb'17. After rigorous follow ups finally the meter was put. The we continued to follow up for the process to be completed and we were told all through Feb and March that there was shortage of stock (of the pipe) and so it will take some time. Usual 15 days time was always the answer. We have been following up since and last weekend (20-21st of May'17), finally we were told that it would get done and that it is only a matter of 10 minutes of job...nobody came. Then someone comes on Friday (26th of May), a working day and that too uninformed. Obviously since everyone is working in our house, they had to go back. They promised to come on Saturday (yesterday) at 11 am; that doesn't mean anything, looking at the poor customer service of IGL - 2 people showed up at 3 pm and it turns out they are the ones who install the meter, which in our case was anyway done a few months back!! No apologies given and then again we were given false promises that some technician will come in sometime and fix it. Of course no one came. Today, again, Sunday (28th of May), I have been following up and all that is happening is the typical blame game between different departments. If this was not enough, one of the IGL staff persons has the audacity to tell me that I should have mentioned that we already have the meter!! It has been so frustrating and not even sure if IGL Customer Care has the integrity to promptly act on this complaint...one can only hope that someone responds to this and gets the connection going today! Horrible and shocking is my experience so far with IGL and its support teams!
