My BP No [protected] and my mob no is [protected] . I received june 22 bill of Rs 2791 with last date of payment on or before 9 july 22 . As per their instructions, the bill could be paid by cheque in drop box or by cash in the designated banks on or before due date. I dropped the cheque of the due amount on 29 june22 in the drop box at national Mandela Road. IGL claims that they take out the cheques at 4PM daily. they however did not take out the cheques upto 8 june 2022. When I did not receive the debit advice of the bill payment from my bankupto 8 june 22, I paid the IGLbill by depositing Rs 2791 in cash in IDB bank in vasant kunj branch on 8 june 22 one day before the last date .The amount was credited in the account of IGL on 8 june 22, .Inspite of paying the bill in cash in bank before due date, late payment charges of Rs55 levied in the july 22 bill as late payment fee. When I asked the customer care on this, they told me that I should have paid the bill at least three days prior to the last date as it takes three days to update their record .I pointed out that this is nowhere mentioned in their bill, and I want to speak to their supvr, I was never put through to the supvr inspite of waiting for quite some time till the line was cut off. I should get the refund of Rs 55 or the same be adjusted in the bill of Aug 22 since I paid the bill in time in cash in the bank as per instructions of IGL. Was this information helpful? |
