Dear sirs,
This is to inform you as follows:
1. I am consumer of png being supplied by you and i am paying you the charges for png consumed through a/c payee cheques as per invoices raised by you. Accordingly the amount of rs 710.06 was paid by me through cheque no. 000085 dated 16.05.2017 drawn on hdfc bank against invoice no[protected] dated 28.04.2017. The cheque was presented in o/w clearing by idbi, khel gaon marg on behalf of igl and cleared by my banker on 23.05.2017.
2. Despite facts stated as under, igl took the stand that the said amount of rs 710.06 was not paid by me and billed the amount as arrears including penalty for non-payment and raised invoice no[protected] dated 28.06.2017:
(A) the fact that cheque no. 000085 presented by your banker was cleared by my banker.
(B) the fact that through numerous calls to[protected]/[protected] and emails to customercare. [protected]@igl.co.in i informed igl that the amount was paid by me.
3. I had no alternative but to pay the charges demanded by igl vide invoice no[protected] dated 28.06.2017 along with arrears since igl refused to take any cognizance of my pleas raised through numerous calls to[protected]/[protected] and emails to customercare. [protected]@igl.co.in. Igl raised invoice no.[protected] dated 31.08.2017 also without taking into consideration the amount rs 710.06 was paid by me through cheque no. 000085 dated 16.05.2017. Amount against this invoice has also been paid by me.
4. I have to spent time & money for my visits to my banker many times to get it confirmed that cheque number 000085 issued from a/c number [protected] was presented in o/w clearing on[protected] has been paid to igl. The cheque has been presented by idbi, khel gaon marg delhi.
The fact is that i have been forced by igl to run from pillar to post to prove that the amount of rs 710.06 was paid by me while igl has not only denied receipt but also billed the amount as arrears along penalty which i had no alternative but to pay. The above is very clearly not only deficiency of service, unfair trade practice but also has caused/ is causing harassment, mental agony and financial loss to me.
It is requested that rs 710.06 plus penalty of rs 14.20 charged may kindly be refunded to me with interest from the day when this amount was received by igl against payment of invoice no[protected] dated 28.06.2017. Igl is also requested to reimburse for causing harassment, mental agony and financial loss to me.
In case of no response, i shall be left with no alternative but to take recourse as per provisions of law.
