[Resolved]  Birla Sunlife Insurance & Citibank — Forced to renew term insurance instead of telling procedure to cancel

Summary

Force to renew policy in second year. No guidance on how to terminate / exit term insurance
since I told clearly, I was not intertesed in having this policy. Even in first year, insurnace company
nor the agent (Citi Bank) allowed me to exist.

I have all email communication regarding my intention to exist / terminate this term insurance
policy but to assistance given

BISL and Citi have made it difficult for me to exist the policy. Even before the renewal date, I had expressed very clearly that I did not want to renew the policy, I was not given any assistance / guidance on what I need to do. My Citi Bank Visa card was charged for full year premium and ever since I am doing follow-up with both - BISL and Citi - but no response.

I went to BISL office after they charged my Visa and I was told to goto Citi bank. What I understaood was there is standing instruction given on policy to charged my visa each year. I made an application to cancel this standing instruction for next renewal. BUT I need refund of the second year premium since I have expressed very clearly about my intention to stop this term insurance with several emails to both Citi and BISL. Moreover, even for first year, I was not given proper guidance on existing the policy within 2 weeks.

I have done several follow-ups. Last Reference Number is: 30136660
