I am filing this complaint regarding repeated technical failures on the IRCTC website while attempting to book railway tickets, particularly during Tatkal booking and also while booking General/regular tickets.
During ticket booking, the IRCTC website frequently displays errors such as "High Load", "Can't process your request", or similar technical errors. These failures occur while attempting to complete the booking process and make it extremely difficult to successfully book a ticket.
The more serious issue occurs when the payment process is completed. On some occasions, the payment amount is successfully debited from my bank account/payment method, but IRCTC does not issue the ticket and subsequently shows the transaction as failed or the ticket as not booked. This creates uncertainty and inconvenience, particularly when attempting to book time-sensitive Tatkal tickets where availability can disappear within seconds.
I understand that online railway ticket booking involves multiple systems, including banks and payment gateways. However, repeated failures at the IRCTC booking stage, combined with instances where money is debited but the ticket is not generated, have caused significant inconvenience and loss of time.
I request that IRCTC investigate these recurring technical and transaction-related problems, improve the reliability and capacity of its online booking system, and ensure that customers receive a clear and immediate transaction status.
In cases where payment has been successfully debited but the ticket has not been issued, I also request that the amount be refunded promptly and that the transaction status and refund status be communicated clearly to the customer.
I request appropriate action to prevent customers from repeatedly facing these problems during Tatkal and General ticket booking.
