Hi kotak team,
This the worst experience i have ever had in the banking sector.
Since i& my wife quit the company we were in no need of the salary account and raised a request to close the bank account on 19th april 2018 by visiting the home branch personally.

Things happened at the bank
• the bank member accepted our requested after a long time and asked to fill and share the account closing form.
• myself and my wife both shared the account opening kit that consisted of debit card, cheque and other things to the front desk executive.
• he destroyed the debit card and cheque in front o[censored]s and asked us to move as the formalities were completed.
• he dint give any acknowledgment, when questioned he said not required.
I happened to get an email from kotak bank on 3rd december 2018
"dear manjeswaran a,
We have noticed that your corporate salary account has neither received salary credit nor maintained average monthly balance (Amb) for nov 18. We request you to please credit salary or maintain the required balance in dec 18 to avoid application of non maintenance charges (Nmc) for nov 18 and dec 18. Alternatively you may visit the nearest branch and convert your account to nmc waived basic savings bank deposit account."
After consulting the vijayanagar kotak bank on 19th jan 2019, i was asked to meet a lady ms. Lakshmi and she dint respond properly and made me wait for 30 min. There is no proper response from the bank members and she again asked me to visit the home branch. Later when i questioned the bank member informed that still my kotak securities demat account is active until the demat account is closed we won't be able to process closing of your bank account Was this information helpful? |
