Kotak Mahindra Bank — kotak insurance harassment | |||||
Policy no: 9955080 & 9957725 Place siliguri, wb I was misguided by the agent. I paid 2lakhs to for insurance and my policy is active from 28/07/2018. The booklet instructions says that i can cancel the policy within 15 days grace period. When i talked to the customer care they denied to cancel it online, rather asked me to go the the branch. I google the branch and found location listed on google as kotak life insurance. When i went there, there was no office at all. It was a residential area. I looked around the entire area and could not find the office. Finally, i went to the kotak bank and asked them where is their insurance office, then they guided me to the location which is not even shown in google as kotak insurance. When i approached the helpdesk with all my documents mentioned by the customer care: id proof, cancelled check, etc the helpdesk guy immediately called the sales guy who gave me the policy. When he heard that i want to cancel the policy, he pulled me to the counselling room and started explaining the policy all over again. I literally felt mentally harrassed by these people. Then the other two people along with the manager came and started explaining the details all over and over again. Somewhere i feel like letting go that 2 lakh ruppees to avoid this sort of harrasment but again its a big amount and i dont want to be bothered by these sales agents and spoil my peace of mind.
