Kotak Mahindra Bank — Loan amount not getting deducted from account and fines are added to late payment.

Hi,

I am really frustrated with Kotak at this point as they are scamming customers now openly.

I had my loan emi amount in my Kotak savings account and I sent several emails to deduct the loan emi. They deducted partial amount from the account after several follow-ups. Now they have sent an email notification stating that I will be fined on the remaining amount. I had the full emi amount, not sure why they deducted partial amount and now they are imposing fine on the remaining. This is really horrible as Kotak has dropped to a new low.

Loan number : SPLN68348513
Pending amount on which Kotak is imposing a fine : Rs. 2278.78/-
Available amount in my account after emi deduction : Rs. 2527.21/-

Not sure why Kotak did not deduct the full amount as you can see there is enough amount in my account.

If this goes on I have no other option other than to file a cheating case on Kotak. Also, a mental harassment case on top of that.

Could you please help. I am travelling hence I do not have the luxury to visit their branch or call to their call center.

Hi,
I wanted to update my complaint further.

Kotak has put lien on my account and now I am not able to pay the emi. I have sent several emails to them asking to remove it so that I can the emi but till date they have not removed it. They have blocked the emi amount in my account and they are asking me to pay emi. How is this ethical.

Could you please help me with this and also please let me know how can I proceed for a legal action.
