Kotak Mahindra Bank — Uninformed huge charges levied on my savings account | |||
My name is Francis and I was about to travel out of country last June and needed a credit card and so i checked the same with the Kiosk at Accenture premises. The person said I must open account (zero balance)only then credit card will be issued. I told him I already have salary account with another bank and hence cannot change it to kotak and he said it is fine. The person promised to issue credit card within a week as I was about to travel abroad. About 3 weeks later I received call from kotak regarding verification for CC and i told them i cannot provide any docs as Im not in country. Because of the false promise made by the sales person I had submitted the new account form and CC form and CC was not processed. Recently i started receiving charges leived on my account saying I have low balance - I was initially told it was zero balance account. Im not sure if the representatives dont have enough knowledge or if the bank is wantedly making false promises to levy charges and loot money later. I have noticed similar cases with many collegues in my company too. May be its time this should be looked into as a scam by the bank. Was this information helpful? | |||
