I purchased airline tickets from Saudia Airline using my Kotak Bank credit card, As per, the invoice transaction is in INR, and the place of sale indicated on the ticket is Delhi. Despite this, I was charged a foreign transaction fee of 3.5% plus GST, even though the transaction occurred in India and was processed in INR.
I have been trying to resolve this issue for several months, but the only response I have received is that the transaction is considered foreign. This is confusing to me, given that both the location and currency are clearly Indian. Additionally, I have been following up with Ms. Sable for the past month and few weeks with Mr Vora, without receiving any response.
I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter at your earliest convenience. The transaction dates in question are 13th June 2024 for Rs. 39, 322.00 and 14th May 2024 for Rs. 36, 938.00.
I would also like to point out that the OTP SMS I received for this transaction indicated INR, unlike international transactions, which are usually in foreign currency. If any further clarification is needed, please let me know. Was this information helpful? |
