I purchased LG refrigerator model GL-338VT5 in 2010. Recently, the handle of the main door broke. I placed a request for spare part, when the customer care mentioned that because product is older than 5years, cost for spare and service will have to be chargeable. I agreed for the same, mentioning that if part replaced, I will pay for both. After few weeks, a service technician visited to see which model it was. He returned after two days with the wrong handle. Now, the LG service technician and LG customer care is informing me that any product which is beyond 5years, cannot be provided with spare replacement. However, this was neither mentioned during purchase not agreed upon on the Invoice/ Terms. Do they expect that for a Rs. 500/- spare part, i dispose off the refrigerator??
