LG Electronics — Request for Repair or Replacement LG Refrigerator GC-C247UGUV and SBS-B257DLW*

1. It is informed that I had bought an LG Fridge, *Model No. GC-C247UGUV (618/675 Litre)* on 5th July 2017. (Copy of the bill is attached for reference). The fridge was purchased from Reliance Digital Store, Hazratganj for Rs. 90, 000.
2. The fridge worked satisfactorily for the initial three years. Thereafter, there has been leakage every 3–4 months. I have spent repeatedly on gas charging, the total of which must now be almost equal to the value of the fridge itself. Once, even the compressor was changed by the LG technician. The number of complaints lodged with LG for repair in the last 4–5 years must be available and recorded with LG.
3. The technician who came for repair on 11th September 2025 revealed that there is internal leakage in the fridge and it cannot be repaired. The internal leakage of pipes embedded in the door of the fridge should be the responsibility of the company, as there was no movement or external damage to the fridge.
4. I reported the matter to Mr. Ajay of LG Electronics, who informed that the fridge has a 10-year guarantee for the compressor only, and that LG is not responsible for internal leakage of pipes. My fridge is only 8 years old, and there has been no external damage. The issue has arisen due to poor material quality or manufacturing defect in the pipes, which got eroded and started leaking. The fridge does not bear any scratches, and due to this manufacturing defect, it has become unusable. The video of the internal leakage was forwarded to the company on 11th September 2025 by LG technician Rupesh.
5. You are requested to get the set repaired or replaced at the earliest.
6. It is further informed that I had bought a similar model *SBS-B257DLW* on 9th October 2025(Copy of the bill is attached for reference), which was installed on 24th October 2025. It has been only 8 days and the new fridge is also having the same problem as the previous one — it is not cooling. You are requested to investigate if the new fridge also has the same internal leakage issue due to manufacturing defect.

Kindly look into the matter urgently and resolve it at the earliest.
