Lufthansa — Flight cancelled, but now can't book seat on the flight allocated.

Please help. No numbers listed that I can phone in South Afrtca. Flight LH577 - Order number JC6F3T. When my son previously used Lufthansa the flight was overbooked and he was put onto another plane. I am trying to avoid that as he was suppose to already be in Germany.
