Lufthansa
My connecting flight with Delta on 4 May, which was booked by Lufthansa, was not paid for and got canceled from Fairbanks to Seattle before 12 hours, and I was not informed about it.
When I reached the Fairbanks airport around 12 before the scheduled flight, I was informed that my flight was not paid for, and they did not let me board the plane. I tried to call Lufthansa, but my call was not connected for more than an hour. I was not even allowed to pay for the "ticket" by Delta airlines as their system didn't have the option to do that, I tried to get another ticket on the same flight, but it was fully booked. The Delta assistant at the airport was kind enough to help me find an alternate flight to Seattle through different airlines, and the only option I had was 9 am flight from Fairbanks.
I had to book another Alaskan Airlines flight at 9 am by myself as I did not want to miss my international flight to Mumbai from Seattle at around 2.15 pm. My flight from Fairbanks reached Seattle at 1.40 pm. So I had to freaking run through all the gates at Seattle airport and take 3 trains to reach my gate. I did not even have a boarding pass then, so I requested the assistant at the boarding gate to give me my boarding pass to get on the flight.
I have never experienced this kind of incompetent service and inconvenience from any airline. I want a full refund of my ticket as compensation for the trouble and disruption in my travel.
I have attached a picture from a delta airlines screen showing there was no paid ticket in their system for me. (They were kind enough to let me take the picture as proof).
