[Resolved] Mahanagar Gas — reconnection of gas connection

Since last Saturday 05Oct my Gas connection has been disconnected and have filed complaint to reconnect the same on 08 Oct. Complaint no. 9014388 CA NO.[protected]. They registered the wrong complaint though I explained the whole situation again& again. Every day I am calling the call center for status of the Complaint requesting for quick action since not able to cook and have senior citizen at home but getting the same reply "your request has been forwarded to the department. There's no feedback from department." Can I know is there any other issue in getting the pipe reconnected in spite of frequent requests any explaining the conditions back home? Oct 16, 2024 Complaint marked as Resolved It took more than 7days to just reconnect the existing connection removed in emergency and had to follow up every day literally explaining them the situation back home with no gas connection and not able to cook, having senior citizen at home. Hands down. Such a laid-back attitude towards consumer's inconvenience. Oct 15, 2024 Updated by vaishu09 There has been a continues pressure from Mahanagar to install new Meter which they say we have to replace since according to company policy for safety reasons should be replaced after 10yrs also connection can be discontinued if not installed. There are other users also in our society but looks like the policy is applicable to those with low bill amount since only few of them are got replaced. If a person has less usage bill will obviously be less. The new meters installed are faster than previous ones. I had complaint for this also Complaint no. 9010177. seems lie since I denied installing the new meter my complaint to reconnect the Gas connection is on hold.
