REMINDER MOST HOPELESS SERVICES BY MTNL Dear Sir, Please refer my series of trailing emails since 13th August, 2020 when I applied for FTTH connection. Work Order No. 1068 FTTH Telephone No.[protected]applied for) Existing Broadband connection No. 25566139 Payment made online on 13th August, 2020: Rs 2300 Rs 600 for registration + Rs 500 for data activation + Rs 200 for voice activation + Rs 1000 for ONT Upfront Charge (WHEAREAS, BEING EXISTING BROADBAND USER, I AM ENTITLED FOR WAIVING OF[censored]PFRONT CHARGES FOR ONT) SINCE THEN, NOW ALMOST FIVE MONTH HAS PASSED, BUT FTTH CONNECTION COULD NOT BE INSTALLED BY MTNL SO FAR. On 13th August, 2020; I had applied Online for FTTH connection (Subscriber No. [protected], Work Order No. 1068, Telephone No.[protected]. I have also paid online an amount of Rs 2300 on 13-August-2020 for FTTH connection. AFTER CONTINUOUS FOLLOW UP SINCE 13TH AUGUST, SOME TIME BACK MTNL CONTRACTOR VISITED MY HOME BUT DID NOT INSTALL FTTH CONNECTION. MTNL CONTRACTOR WAS TELLING ME TO PURCHASE MODEM AMOUNTING TO RS[protected] FROM HIM. I TOLD HIM THAT I have been an existing broadband user (Triband Combo BB-660-6M-Combo- CA: [protected], Telephone No.[protected] with MTNL for the past 10 years AND I ALREADY HAVE MODEM. I ALSO TOLD HIM THAT WHILE REGISTERING ONLINE FOR FTTH CONNECTION, I was charged Rs 2300 ( Rs 600 for registration + 500 for data activation + Rs 200 for voice activation + Rs 1000 for ONT Upfront Charge). WHEAREAS, BEING EXISTING BROADBAND USER, I AM ENTITLED FOR WAIVING OF[censored]PFRONT CHARGES FOR ONT. BUT, HE KEPT ON INSISTING ME FOR PURCHASE OF MODEM FROM HIM, AND AS I TOLD HIM THAT I AM ALREDAY HAVING MODEM AND I HAVE PAID ONLINE FOR EVEN ONT UPFRONT CHARGES ALSO. AFTER THAT HE REFUSED TO INSTALL FTTH CONNECTION AT MY HOME. THIS IS REALLY SHOCKING FOR ME. But, while applying online there was no link available for Migration / Plan Change from Broadband to FTTH in your MTNL Mumbai website. The Plan change option was only available in your website from one broadband to other broadband plan. Hence, I was forced to apply for a fresh FTTH connection altogether. As mentioned in your website that Upfront charges for ONT for migration from existing landline / ADSL connection to FTTH connection is waived off. Whereas, I was charged Rs 2300 ( Rs 600 for registration + 500 for data activation + Rs 200 for voice activation + Rs 1000 for ONT Upfront Charge). I had to pay online Rs 2300 including Rs 1000 for upfront charges for ONT as there was no option available for migration from existing broadband to FTTH connection and therefore no option was available for waiving off o[censored]pfront charges for ONT on migration. You are requested to kindly expedite installation of FTTH connection, preferably retaining my same existing telephone number 25566139 by porting / migrating to FTTH connection and waiving of[censored]pfront charges of Rs 1000 by adjusting in next bills. Despite repeated follow up at your customer care nos. 1505, 1130, 28782476; the FTTH connection has NOT yet been installed. I have talked to MTNL executives several times, but with NO RESULT. Kindly do the needful and get FTTH connection installed at the most earliest. A copy of relevant documents attached herewith.
