It brings me a lot of pain to highlight a horrible customer service experience that I have had with Mahindra First Choice. I had booked a VW POLO GT with a final price of Rs. 4, 21, 000 while dealing with “Mr. Kamal” on behalf of Auto Elite Mahindra First Choice, Lajpat Nagar. I had asked him for a further discount. However, upon verbal deliberation, we had reached a mutual conclusion that he will let go of the 'RC charges' (by including them in the sale price of the car, serving as a further discount).
Post this, the process of the loan was duly started with Kotak Mahindra Bank and by the time the deal was to be finalised COVID-19 second wave had arrived. My family went through the worst as I lost my brother. Dealing with these circumstances, I had to delay the delivery of the car by an additional 15-20 days.
In the meanwhile, the loan was finalised and the delivery of the car was then finalised for 24 June 2021. It was after mere 2 days of delivery, when Mr. Kamal again contacted me w.r.t the payment of RC charges. In utter audacity, he asked me to make the payment for the same. I reminded him about the deal, which he outright denied and asked me for the payment.
I didn't receive any call from the office which made me believe that the matter was resolved. However, after a couple of weeks when my RC hadn’t arrived at my residence I had no option but to walk into the showroom to have a conversation in person.
Upon reaching the showroom
They again asked me for the payment
The tone of voice with which the owner spoke was by no-means at par with the customer-service experience claimed; ghastly to say the least
Called me a liar
Mr. Kamal said he was busy and full of excuses as to why I wasn’t called
Initially said they don’t have my RC in the showroom
Later refuted their own statement and said that they will “hoard” and not release my RC until the payment is received (I have already made the payment as per the deal).
It’s been almost 9 months and I haven’t received my RC for my vehicle HR 26 BZ 7136
I would like you to look into the matter and get my RC delivered as I do not want to deal with the same staff again. I feel unsafe going to the showroom because of the behaviour of the staff. As a customer, I have lost complete faith in the mission of Mahindra First Choice. I believe that word of mouth being one of the most sought after recommendations is not something that your organisation is striving for. I would like to have my RC back ASAP and I will not be paying any extra charges for the same. I have already gone through enough stress dealing with my family circumstances; the police and driving a vehicle without registration is something that I am not willing to compromise on any further.
