[Resolved] Make My Trip — Cashback of 20% amount as per mumtaj | |||||
I made 2 bookings by using my icici bank debit card for a 20% cashback offer on taj hotel. I already had rooms confirmed directly from taj hotels, but since they advertised in the paper for 20% cash back, i cancelled from taj hotels and made the same bookings through make my trip. I kept calling their call centers several times to ensure i get the cash back. Everytime their agents acknowledged my bookings and said i am eligible for cash back. I luckily happen to have one of my call recorded from the auto call recording app. Prior to check in at taj deccan on 23rd dec one of the agent said that i will get the cash back within 72 hours of check out and the check out was on 25th dec. Then since 25th december, i have been calling to check the status of cash back and make my trip is trying its best to deny this cash back. I have made 2 bookings under this offer and i am eligible for a cash back around rs.11, 000/- but sometimes they say that i have not applied the code at the time of booking, they are trying to find the call recordings of the agents who acknowledged me the cash back from past 3-4 days they didn't find the call recording and now they have come back saying that they need a proof of cash back offer being applicable for icici bank card. They say that it was only for citi bank and axis bank where as they were offering additional discount of 10% on and above the 20% for axis and citi bank credit or debit card. They are just trying to waste time so that we get fed up and leave the money. I have wasted a lot of time and gone through a lot of stress due to the same as i had planned my expenses and credit card payments based on this cash back. If make my trip was not ready to give the cash back offer to it clients, why should they make false commitments. Was this information helpful? | |||||
