MakeMyTrip India — not taking udf fee refund seriously.

Hello Sir / Madam,

This is regarding refund o[censored]DF waived of by government of India.
I had made flight bookings for my parents from MakeMyTrip.com on 19 May for both side journey from Delhi to Goa with Booking IDs NF[protected] and NF[protected]Travel Date- To:7th December 2017 and from:14th Dec 2017). When I asked for UDF fees refund many times (almost followed up with them for more than a month) from MakeMyTrip before the travel date, it was informed that its can be processed once the travel is completed and I need to reconnect with MakeMytrip to get refund back.
Now after travel accomplished, I again started follow up (reference id[protected] with MakeMyTrip to get my refund back but in response I am consistently getting one reply “we would like to inform you that we have not received any information from the airlines for the udf refund. As soon as we receive any information regarding udf we will assist you with the same”, which suggest either they not taking this matter seriously with the airlines or they are not interested to provide the government refunded money to customer.
Also, I tried connecting with their helpline number many times but I was always directed to online portal. I was expecting to get at least a single call from makemytrip after having lot of follow-up but I did not receive any call from them.

Also, I called airlines customer care, I came to know from them that vendor (makemytrip) has to initial a process with them then only they can start refund.

As per government norms, UDF fees needs to be claimed in 45 days from the date of travel out of which 28 days are already gone.

Please check and get the UDF fees refunded.

All of sudden MakeMyTrip (customer care) wake-up from many days sleep, and replied to this complaint with "copied content" from previous emails.

MakeMyTrip need to understand that they should take customer issues on priority and do the necessary follow up with the airlines to get the UDF refunds (provided by government of India).

Here, I am requesting MMT again to do the follow-up with airlines and get refund with in the time constraint of 45 day from the travel date.

Again, got email from MakeMyTrip asking buying more time. MakeMyTrip also know they need to chase up with airlines within 45 days, else refunds won’t be process after that.

Many of travelers in same fight having Booking Id: NF[protected] already got refund in their account.

I don’t know why this is getting delay for other travelers. It seems MMT is want to give pain to their customers.

Today, I called Vistara and AirIndia airlines customer care, I came to know from airlines that MMT has not yet started the claim process with airlines. But In earlier emails MakeMyTrip assured me that "their team is constantly taking follow up with their concerned team and the revert is pending so they requested me to kindly co-operate with them".
MMT is making fool of customer, if not they should have involved the customers in their communications with airlines. I am sure they don't have answers to this as they have not started the claim process with airline.

I should say to MMT that please walk-up and do claim UDF refunds from airlines. Else limited lime will past.

MMT does not follow ethics of replying to customer queries on time. This request was escalated to level 4 on 16th December 2017 and higher authorities also did not took this on priorities.

Hey,

I wonder what we would have to do to get our money back from these cheats. They have failed to refund UDF for tickets booked through them for Air India flights.

Other than copy-pasted mails, they refuse to give an honest answer. It's hard to imagine a company of Makemytrip's repute stooping to this crude behavior.
