Maruti Suzuki India — Baleno car smartplay studio infotainment system not working

I bought a new Baleno Alpha (P) car bearing regd no. OD14R-3109 on 29 Jan, 2019.

I an not able to use any of its features like navigation, phone, media because its screen is not receiving any response whenever any option button is touched in the screen. This problem has been intimated to the service center here at Rourkela, but they expressed their inability in repairing it. After waiting for a long time, when they informed me that the mechanic fir repairing such system has come from outside, I went to NEXA service centre, Rourkela. But that mechanic told me that the entire unit needs to be replaced and it would cost around Rs. 40000.

I am really disappointed to know about the poor quality of infotainment unit being supplied by Maruti Suzuki that needs to be replaced so soon and such products are not repairable because of small problem like touch screen, entire unit needs to be replaced. As the mechanics available at Nexa service centre, Rourkela have no expertise to sort out such problems, I have to wait till an outside mechanic visits.

As I was not using all facility except listening to local FM radio, I could not observe this problem earlier. This problem may occurred before the completion of 2 years.

Kindly consider out of goodwill gesture and sort out my problem without much expenses.
