Maruti Suzuki India — Different size and make of stepney tyre

Dear sir,

I am a owner of maruti suzuki baleno car wb24ae2884 that was booked at nexa park street showroom of premier car world pvt. Ltd. And am using it for about 6 months. Today i need to change one of my tyre as it was damaged and after some preliminary enquiry i found out that the stepney tyre which was provided with the car is of different size than those 4 tyres which were fitted with the car, not only this but the stepney was also of black steel rim, the other 4 tyres are alloy wheels, the 4 alloy wheel tyres have a number bearing on them r15 while the stepney tyre with the steel rim bears a number r16. The 4 tyres are from apollo and the stepney tyre is from mrf. I need an explanation for why there is such a difference between the regular tyres and the stepney tyre. I also request to make a replacement of the stepney tyre with a new alloy wheel tyre of the same measurement. Please look into the matter and notify me as soon as possible.

Dear Sir,

You should have bought the delta or alpha variant (which has R16 alloy wheels as main wheels and R15 steel rim wheel as spare). The spare wheel provided is always with steel rim only. And the size is R15 (i.e., 15 inches), but not R16 as you said. Only the wheels fit on to the car is R16 size. This should have been told to you while making the booking itself.

This size difference is one of the reason for me not booking zeta / alpha. Because, even if you want to scrap the spare wheel provided by Maruti and buy a spare of actual size (R16 - alloy) as spare, you need to buy in quantities of 4.

I booked Delta variant (which comes with R15 steel rim wheels and same wheel as spare) and decided to change the wheels to R15 alloy from any local Car custom works. So now, I will have all identical sized wheels with me. This way, I have the option of selling the steel rim wheels in seconds market also.

I have a brand new Swift Zxi that i have bought a week back. When i was on my may to the office today the tyre got damaged because of which i had to change it with a spare tyre. I got shocked to see a tyre without an alloy and it was smaller in the size. When i have contacted the customer care the explained this is because of the safety of the customer. I am not very happy with the services
