We took our car Maruti Wagon R for servicing on the 3rd December 2015 to Paramount Service Centre in Mira Road. The servicing guy said that lets take a round in the car and check, so the servicing guy sat in the driver seat and I took the front seat next to the driver and my wife behind. The servicing guy went full speed on the Bhakti Vedant road and lost control after seeing a pothole and bang to the left hand side divider and the car over turned and me and the servicing guy were completely upside down in the car. My wife who was in the back seat was thrown out of the car back window during the impact when the servicing guy banged the car into the divider. My wife was injured badly and she had blood flowing like if someone has opened a water tap. We rushed to the hospital she was then admitted to the hospital with head injuries and had to take about 15-20 stitches on the head. We are still taking my wife to the hospital regularly for check-ups. The cars is completely damaged and on day when my wife was in hospital the servicing guys were very sweet in saying we will take care of the car and also the hospital bills, as they were worried about what we would say in police complaint. However we said to police that this servicing guy did bang the car but we don’t want you to arrest him. After few days when my wife was fine I went to service centre as they called me with my insurance papers. Now they said car is completely damaged and we will have to go for total loss. They said we will get 3.5 lakhs as per evaluation of the car and so I can pay off 2 lacs of my pending loan and rest you can take the money and buy new car. This is completely ridiculous as I would have to pay over and above to get a new car for myself, whereas all mistake is of your servicing guy and not me or my family who are suffering now for no reason. When I did not agree to their terms and ask them to pay for what they have done they said they will speak to the General Manager and get back after 2 days. Now they are saying we will repair that same car and give it back to me which is completely insane as these same servicing guys were saying that car is completely in bad shape and it’s better to go for total loss. We request you to please intervene in this matter at the earliest.
