I am a maruti suzuki swift (Vdi) customer from last 3 years. I bought my car on april 2015 from indus motors muvattupzha. After 1.6 years one day my car suddenly stopped in middle of the road without giving any warning or alert and i tried to start the car several times, after several tries my car started. Next day i took my car to maruti indus service center and told the issues happened last day, in the evening they have called me and said, the issue is due to damage of high pressure pump. Since my car was in normal warranty period they offered me a free replacement of damaged part.
And its been almost 1.2 years only since i replaced the high pressure pump, on 7th january 2018, me and my family were going to a function in kollam in my car, during that time car stopped in the middle of the road without any warning, and i was driving in a speed of 75-80km/hr, when the car suddenly stopped all the system went down and the steering got locked and we have just escaped from a huge accident. Next day i took my car to the service centre, they checked and said it is the same compliant for the high pressure pump and need to replace the same again. Since i haven't any extended warranty, i need to pay 27270 (Component charge) + 650 (Labour charge) to replace the same.
Then i asked them, how can i drive my car with confidence, since this issue is causing periodically without any warning or alert. If i spent 27920 for the replacement of this high pressure pump will maruti can promise this will never happen again?.
Now i want maruti suzuki to take necessary action to change my car high-pressure pump and ensure it will not fail in future.
