Maruti Suzuki India — Regarding vitara brezza rear seat back headrest

Sir, we have purchased Vitara Brezza LDi (O) on[protected] from M/s Modern Automobiles, Chandigarh, hence we are your customer. Our car chassis no. is MA3NYFB1SGE118224.

We have no words to appreciate the dealing of Modern Automobiles. For us they are one of the best dealers. First of all I would like to mention here that we are one of the oldest customers of Maruti Vehicles since 1984. At present we have four Maruti cars, in fact we had seven cars, all Maruti make, out of which we have sold old model Bleno, Esteem and recently last month sold Dezire ZDI. We do not have any space even in our heart for other than Maruti make cars.

The problem now which we are facing in our vehicle is that the rear seat does not have the head rest. It is pertinent to mention here that when we went to the above said dealers show room on[protected], we saw the Vitara Brezza which was displayed in their show room and we were very much impressed by the sales representatives demonstration and we decided there only to book the Brezza. Of course it was top model displayed and it had seat head rest on its rear seats also. As per our expense capacity or seeing our pocket, we decided to book the LDI(O) at same time. We never thought that LDI will not have head rest on rear seats. Now it looks very impossible that maruti’s vehicle will have such rear seat.

When we sit on rear seat even our shoulders are above the seat back. When vehicle moves or when sudden stops, person sitting on rear seat gets very serious jerk on the neck, which is very dangerous because neck bones may break any time. I have many examples of such serious incidence that does not have seat head rest. I am writing because twice I got jerks while sitting on rear seat in my own above said car and my neck is paining. We have enquired from the dealers and from the local market to put or fix the head rest but everyone is helpless to fix it, they says there is no solution. Everyone says write to the Maruti Company. Now it is our humble request that what is the solution for us, please guide us as early as possible, we are very seriously in trouble, hoping from your end for your favorable reply very soon.
Thanks in anticipation.

Definitely, Maruti should provide headrests or atleast provide an option to have headrests for the rear seat in Vitara Brezza. I hope Maruti will come with a solution soon for the LDI and LDI(o) variant owners.
After getting LDI O i have upgraded to alloys ..., i thought of it z possible to fix head rest to the rear seat also optional in ldi (o) even, but i m very surprised there z no such option even, ..i humbly request esteemed company to step forward to give brezza as car of all
Of course the same I had with my swift ldi, it's too stupid and cheating decision from Maruti to remove head rest from base model, and they don't provide an option to fit it in future as well, it's completely ridiculous, this the only reason I move to ford other than Maruti brezza, if you provide headrest it would be a great help
Yeah please fix the issue i too have same problem its very uncomfortable for rear occupants in the Brezza. To save few bucks please don't make unsafe cars it will add only 1 or 2 thousand to cost it should be made standard across all variants. There is no point is making a base variant which comprises with safety.
Is any one is able to resolve the issue from any of Maruti showroom?

How you people able to manage that rear head rest from some where? pl help me i am from Nashik, Mumbai is OK with me.

Hi all,

The best feasible solution is approach a seat cover & cushion specialist in your city & ask him to make 2 or 3 foam fixed head rest for rear seat of 3-4 inches each. Here he will have to remove old seat cover, stick the cushion and tailor the cover as well. This may cost around 1 to 1.5k.

Hope it helps!
As we know that the information has been forwarded to Maruti on [Jun 06, 2016]. Its almost 1 year they haven't taken this issue seriously. What kind of Customer support is this ? When in various place it has been mentioned that if the car take sudden acceleration for any reason then it may cause damage to neck (may be it can damage neck bone too) of rear seat passengers as there is no rear head rest.

When buying a car more than 8 Lacs it is really very bad. When Customers are shifting to Ford from Maruti it is really very very disheartening news too. This way we are losing respect and hope on Maruti. People will say next that Maruti is only manufacturing commercial cars like DZire tour. They don't even care for private customers.

Please let me know if I am wrong in any way.

I had plan of going for Brezza LDI(O) but dropped it as the rear seat does not come with head rest. VDI (O) was crossing my budget. Plan to go for Ford models.
