Hi team,

I have logged a complaint - [protected] on 19/06/18 which was closed without even notifying me. This is a new complaint. Please find the below details of the issue.

On 17/0/18 i had done service of my alto k10 (Wb12b9892) at dewar's taratala worskhop, kolkata. Driver - upendra ([protected]) did pick up and i went for service and my car was totally ok. Special check up (42 pinots) and wheel alignment done in service. While returning back home my front left tyre exploded on kona highway and i luckily escaped accident on the highway. I called several times my service advisor [mr prasanjit dhara ([protected])] but he refused to provide me any roadside assistance and promised me to help me out the next day (Recorded the call) and asked me to manage somehow that day and reach home.
I changed my stepney tyre to my front left tyre and returned home.

On 19/06/18 morning, i checked the car in garage and found out the right front tyre also exploded the same way in garage. I called prasanjit as i didn't received any calls the previous day, he simply rejected my calls, ignoring about my serious concern and the service neglegence happened.

I called avishek raj (Tsm maruti suzuki)[[protected]] promised to review the case and pay attention to my concern. J singh siddu (Workshop mgr)[[protected]] (Visited my house and checked the car tyres and commented "as the tyres are old so they burst", hiding the faults/ negligence of his workshop.

How can two tyres burst on the very day after returning from service? I have been servicing from past years never had it happened.

I have seen the mechanic filling nitrogen in my tyre's which had previously normal air before performing wheel alignment test. I do servicing very often inspite the fact i ride only on weekends and my kilometers is just 9093 before service and the tyres are not even damaged or worn out.

Its a case of pure negligence of the workshop and i luckily escaped fatal accident due to their negligence and they not even paid attention to my serious concern hiding their faults.

With deep pain and agony, i am very dissatisfied with the service i received service from maruti in this span of 6+ years and i am looking forward to discontinue from maruti if this is how you are treating your customers and don't even care about the life of your customers.

Attaching the pics of two exploded tyres, invoice copy and dealer's mail, call recording of service advisor.

Please escalate this issue and do the needful as i want my car to be in the same state as it was before service and workshop has to bear the replacement of these two tyres.

If this is how maruti treats his customer then i have to raise this concern to consumer forum.

With regards

Vivekananda samanta
