Hi, This is regarding repair of my accidental Dzire VXi. Last week I met a minor accident from front. The service provider has repaired the external parts but has asked for advance for Engine work. They have specifically mentioned, as a company's policy customer should provide 50% advance to perform the repairs above 20K. Please confirm if there is any such policy. If yes, then I am sorry, there is no difference between a Authorised Dealer and Road side mechanic.
Also, If there is a faulty part which needs to be replaced and is not available with the service provider. Does the customer need to pay some booking amount for that part, so that the service provider can place the order with Maruti.
Summary of all this is, as a customer I need to know, if there is a Company's Policy for customer to pay advances in order to get the parts/service done.
