[Resolved]  Maruti Suzuki — New Alto - K10 VXI - Power Steering Issues and Engine Abnormal Sound

Dear Sir We have purchased "New Alto K10 VXI" car (registration No KA-52- M-4241 and chasis No MA3EZDE1S[protected] from your authorized dealer/ distributor M/S RNS Motors - Bangalore - Nelamangala Branch. The vehicle was delivered to us on 24/11/2014. While driving the vehicle, the below detailed issues were observed, (1) It is hard / difficult to rotate the steering in the anti clockwise direction ie it requires more manual power to turn the vehicle in this direction . While driving, continuous pressure has to be applied in the anti clock wise ( from right to left of steering) direction to keep the steering at the center. Due to this my wrist and elbow are continuously suffering from pain. There is no feel that we are driving vehicle which is having power steering mechanism. (2) From the 4th day on wards of the delivery, there is an abnormal sound heard from the engine. This can be heard in the car cabin keeping an engine in neutral position without AC. The sound has increased in last couple of days. We can feel vibration also in neutral and still position. The above issues were detailed to the RNS - Motors Nelamangala Branch twice. They asked me to bring the vehicle to the show room for check up . During first visit they did some service and informed that there is no problem in the power steering and the engine sound is normal for which I was not satisfied with their reply. During second visit ( In my presence) they told that steering mechanism is not getting adequate power while rotating steering in the anticlockwise direction. But no solution was given or correction / corrective action was taken by them. The same was the answer in the case of engine's abnormal noise which is increasing day by day. The same day I took the trial in the similar model vehicle which was available there ( At RNS) at that time and found no such issues in that. Wheel alignment and balancing etc was checked and found correct. Till date (11.12.2014) the vehicle has covered 950 Kms and the first service is due.
