[Resolved] Tata Docomo — Not allowing to PORT my number to other Network | |||
I am having TATA DOCOMO Postpaid connection. In Bangalore, TATA DOCOMO is having a very worst Network support. Most of the time, my sim has no network coverage. So, I decided to port my number to VODAFONE and I went to Vodafone store and submitted my proof and photo to them. After one week I got a message saying Your Unique porting Code is not matched, So, I went to vodafone store again and ask them to resent request with correct UPC. After that also my number not get ported, When I Inquire about it to TATA DOCOMO, they said like Your UPC validation expires before processing. So, I approached Vodafone again and ask them, They said like, Our side we raised request at right time, DOCOMO people only purposely delayed it to expiry date and then processed. Then, I requested new UPC and again submitted proof and photo for the fresh request. I waited for a week, its not ported, Then I called DOCOMO ppl, and I ask them, please process it soon , and dont tell It crosses expiry date. They told Our escalation team will available only in morning. So, I went to vodafone store and asked them about status, They showed their screen and told we have processed, DOCOMO ppl only has to release the number. So, I went to DOCOMO store at the moment and I asked them, they told like "There is nothing to release, everything is automated, If they have submitted correctly it will be done automatically". So, I went back again to vodafone store, they told again the same story. So, I asked them to take new request and they did. After that, I am caaling Docomo ppl, to make it process within in expiry date for the last 3 days, They are keep on saying their server is down. I don't know whether the mistake is with DOCOMO ppl, or Vodafone ppl. But a guy from vodafone only asked me to raise consumer complaint. I want my number to get ported. My calls get disconnected without any reason. Many times, I won’t even be able to reach anybody. I call them and it just disconnects after few seconds. Initially I thought my mobile phone, Google Nexus 5, could be creating the problem, but it wasn’t. I verified it by using Airtel Sim and it worked just fine.
Also I am not reachable many times. My friends call mean and say.. hey I called you twice, thrice and you were not reachable. Where had you been? … But all the time, I was in Bangalore only, either in house or if office.
This problem is not specific to me, I searched in google and found that so many people are facing this problem.
It has been nightmare since I ported my phone number to TATA Docomo, that is 20 days back. I don’t know why the govt is allowing such a company to operate. I don’t have any option now, but to bear this network for two and half more months, as I can’t port my number to other service provider before completing 3 months here
I wonder if TATA Docomo has a proper customer care. I called the customer care 4 times, nobody picked it. It just disconnected. The fifth and sixth time, somebody picked it, but it disconnected soon after they said hello.
I didn’t quit, I tried for the seventh time!!! Somehow it got connected and had a chat with the customer care guy who was operating from Hyderabad. But the thing is I don’t know where the hell he was sitting, it seemed as if he was in
a fish market.
I called the customer care again to complain about this network issue, they said they have some frequency problem, it will take a month to solve it !!!... Come on, If that is the case, why the hell are you selling the SIM cards?
It is difficult to believe that this company is a TATA company.
