MRF — MRF Cricket bat cracked in less than 3 weeks.

I bought an MRF Champ size 6 cricket bat (Indian Willow) at sachdev sports Kondapur, Hyderabad on 26/12/2025. The bat cracked at the bottom on 13/01/2026 and they are refusing to exchange it. When I went to the store on 14/01/2026 with the damaged bat, the salesman tells me that Indian Willow is for playing with tennis ball which was not told to me before the purchase. Is it true that this bat can be used only for playing with a tennis ball?

This bat, I feel, is a very low quality and a cheap product which has given in, in less than 3 weeks.

I would like either a new bat of good quality or a refund if your company can’t promise in writing that the new bat won’t be of such inferior quality like the one I bought.

I had forwarded the bill of the purchase and pictures of the cracked bat to [protected]@mrfmail.com. I have attached the pictures of the cracked bat as well.

Someone named Thomas Martin responded by putting the blame on the customer indirectly through the mail he sent.

The bat cracked when the batsman was tapping the bat. We had played less than 10 shots before it gave in. We used the SG cricket ball to play. By no means, it is of poor quality unlike your company’s bat. You are conveniently saying that the warranty does not cover though it can clearly be seen that your company’s bat is of bad quality.

I have received the email from Thomas Martin in such bad quality, it’s so difficult to read and is similar to the quality of your company’s bat. The email screenshot is attached below. The email sent by this guy is a cut and paste job from the standard company templates and still did a horrible job.

If the bat is damaged in less than 3 weeks and you say it’s not a manufacturing defect and conveniently transferring the blame on to the customer, it is pitiful and shameful, being such a big company and not being able to accept responsibility to resolve this issue by replacing or refunding for the same.

I expect the company to either refund my money or replace it with a better quality product and mention the same in writing. If not, it clearly proves that your company’s products are of cheap quality and are worthless.

I sent a second email in response to the email I received on 14/01/2026 but haven’t received any response from their end.

I had mentioned in the email that if the bat is not replaced, I will have to raise an issue on the company in the consumer forum.

But still no response. This proves that their products and after sales services are of PATHETIC QUALITY.

I would have given negative rating if there was an option.

Expect a response/resolution at least from the higher management from MRF Sports Division.
